This week, XOR announced that the company has been awarded a U.S. patent for its measured reciprocity data sharing model, which is designed to help data owners retain value from information in data exchanges.
The model, which builds on the traditional “give-to-get” model of data sharing, allows data owners to ensure competitors do not gain an upper hand competitively as a result of exchange practices mandated by regulating bodies or industry relationships.
It does so by valuing data based on its quality or usability, as opposed to a 1:1 relationship widely accepted across industries. As data sharing continues to revolutionize industries during the coming years, the disparities in data quality and corporate relationships will become more evident.
We’re proud to say that our technologies represent the next phase of innovation in the digital economy. For more information, see this week’s news release.
